Socorro County Historical Society
Annual dues were suspended during the Covid years as restrictions prevented SCHS from sponsoring any of our events and activities.
Dues have been reinstated for 2023, just $20 per year.
Three years of little revenue has seriously drained the SCHS treasury.
Your
new or continued support of the Historical Society is greatly appreciated.
And for those who have renewed ... many thanks.

Interested in Socorro history?
Socorro County has some of the most extensive and diverse history in New Mexico. History must be preserved for present and future generations, or it will be lost. The Socorro County Historical Society (SCHS) is looking for "new blood." Many current members and the Board of Directors are aging. It is important to pass on our knowledge of Socorro County history, locations of historic sites, find new custodians of the Society's artifact holdings, and the historic Hammel Brewery and Museum building. If you are interested in learning more about Socorro history and helping SCHS share and preserve our history, contact one of the Board of Directors listed to the left, or email us at:
